Edoardo, known as Didi, was born in 1948 in Torino. Didi's father was Jorge (Giorgio) Alberto Servente (Tealdy) and his mother was Concetta (Nucci) Serpi Servente (Decker). His paternal grandparents were Jorge Alfredo Servente and Pierina Luisa Notari (Servente (de Tealdy)). He has a brother and a sister, named Dodo and Chichi. He is the youngest of the three children.
